Welcome to June's battle tournament!

Team Format:

-Team of 6 Pokemon at maximum level 50;
-No legendaries, pseudo-legendaries & their evolutionary lines, or mega evolutions;
-Slaking remains banned, Rhyperior is also now banned;
-Pokemon may not be taught the moves Fake Out, Eruption, or Focus Punch (Pokemon able to learn these moves may be used, but they may not use the moves themselves); no pokemon that know hax moves may be used;
-Held Items must be removed; no giving all your poke Fazor Fangs to inflict flinch with moves that don't flinch;
-At least 5 Pokemon per team must be available in the wild, or be evolutions of Pokemon found in the wild; at most, one may be box/gold store exclusive, provided they do not break any of the other format restrictions;
-One box/gold store Pokemon, or box-only evolution of a wild Pokemon, is permitted per team, excluding those not permitted above;
-Shinies bought in the gold store, or Pokemon obtained from boxes, may be used, provided they are of a species available in the wild, or an evolution of a wild species. Quest reward Pokemon are considered wild Pokemon.
-Underlevelled evolutions of Pokemon available in the wild, or box-only evolutions of Pokemon available in the wild, no longer count as your 1 box-only pick; Pokemon such as Dustox and Hitmonchan (box-only evolutionary branches of wild/quest Wurmple and Tyrogue), or level 50 Bisharp or Mandibuzz (wild Pokemon that evolve after level 50), can be used without restriction;
-Duplicates may not be included from the same evolutionary branch; Pokemon at the ends of different evolution branches of a common unevolved Pokemon may be used, allowing you to use multiple eeveelutions and the like in the same team.

Type Splitting:

As with May's tournament, your team must be built around Pokemon that have particular types. However, this month, there is but one rule:
NO DUPLICATE TYPES
Only one Pokemon in your team may have a particular type; No Pokemon in your team may share a type with any other. If a Flareon is selected, no other fire-type Pokemon may be selected. If a Houndoom is selected, no other Fire- or Dark-type Pokemon may be selected. Houndoom and Chandelure do not share both of their types with each other, but since both are part Fire-type, they may not be included in the same team.
This again means that, like last month, only three starter Pokemon may be included, but this time only one each of the Fire-, Water- and Grass-types. If Water/Ground Swampert, or Fire/Fighting Blaziken are chosen, for example, no other Pokemon in the team may have the Water/Ground or Fire/Fighting types, respectively.

Sample Team:

In the above team, Fighting-type Hitmonlee could not be replaced with Blaziken or Pangoro, as the team already includes Fire- and Dark-type Pokemon. It could be replaced with Fighting/Steel Lucario, as the one permitted box-only Pokemon, since the team does not yet include any Steel-types. Similarly, Delphox could neither be swapped with Blaziken, as Blaziken's Fighting type would conflict with Hitmonlee, nor with Charizard, a part Flying-type who would conflict with Archeops.

Battle Format:

Battles will follow the same format as the previous tournaments:

-Tournament is ladder-style, not knock-out. Nobody is eliminated for losing; all players will fight the same number of battles.
-Before each battle commences, confirm your team's order to the present coordinator.
-Battles will then be fought with the first pokemon in your order fighting the first pokemon in your opponent's order, as 6 individual 1v1 battles.
-Points are awarded to the trainer of the victorious pokemon, at which point it is to be recalled, and the second of each players' pokemon battle, until all 6 pokemon have duelled individually. The use of self-destruct or explosion will award the point to the opponent, regardless of whether the target faints or not.
-Bonus points will be awarded for a 6-0 victory.
-You must use the same team for all of your battles, but the order in which your pokemon battle are not fixed; you may change the order of battle between each match, but once the order is confirmed for a fight, you must follow it.

The tournament will again be help on the last Saturday of the month, June 29th. 4 Weeks to get training!

chopped part of my finger off yesterday and it's looking kinda busy at work tomorrow, so it's possible the tourney start may be slightly delayed, but fear not! it will go ahead tomorrow evening as planned! if there aren't many showing up at that time we'll also extend it into monday, if you're unable to make sunday night drop me a message and we'll make sure everyone gets to participate :)
