Closed Mega Starting

Can we this like In the Beggining if your Starters Mega evolve then you will get their Mega stone if they don't you start of with 3 gold

Most starters dont mega evolve and the stones gor hoenn starters haven't been added yet so only the kanto staters grt megas and others get 3 gold well isn't that unfair for people who don't chose a kanto starter?
